How the audit takes place

Input analysis
We will review the safety plan, evacuation order and crisis documentation. We are talking to management and the safety coordinator.

Assessment of the object
We will check the perimeter, entrances, internal zones and escape routes on site. We follow ČSN 73 4400 and Minimum Standard MŠMT 2024.

People and procedures
We talk to the teachers, the janitor and the reception. We will check if they know the Run - Hide - Fight procedure and how the school coordinates with IZS via the School Card.

What does the school security audit check?
The audit assesses eight areas according to Minimum Standard MŠMT 2024 and Standard ČSN 73 4400: entry control and perimeter, escape routes and evacuation, lockdown and internal zones, crisis communication, School Card (Appendix No. 11), staff preparation, pupil education and documentation status. It will show how the school is prepared for a crisis situation, where it has weak points and what measures to supplement.
How much does a school security audit cost?
Online consultation for directors and founders costs from CZK 3,900, a one-day on-site inspection from CZK 15,000, and a comprehensive audit according to MŠMT 2024 and ČSN 73 4400 from CZK 49,000. We determine the exact price according to the size and type of object.
Is a school security audit mandatory?
The audit itself is not imposed by law. However, the minimum school safety standard MŠMT 2024 expects schools and founders to carry out a risk assessment, crisis documentation and an annual review. The audit will provide you with a basis to demonstrate compliance and arguments for negotiations with the founder.
How long does the audit take?
The entrance audit of a regular elementary school takes 1-2 days on site and another 5-10 working days of processing. The director usually receives the output within two weeks of the visit.
What do we get as an output at the end?
Written audit (15-30 pages) with recommendations divided into acute, short-term and conceptual. It includes a cost estimate and a proposed schedule. For a comprehensive audit, we will add a proposal for a camera system and EMS with a budget.
Who performs the audit?
Auditors GBH Academy are former members of the URNA Police of the Czech Republic, the SOG of the Military Police and the 601st Special Forces Group with experience from foreign missions. GBH Academy is an educational institution with MV ČR (AK/I-48/2025) accreditation for the protection of soft targets. She audited the Czech Radio, the National Theatre, the Public Defender of Rights and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
Can we use the audit when dealing with the founder?
Yes. The document is written as a basis for a municipality or region and refers to MŠMT 2024 and ČSN 73 4400. In it, the director has the risks described in writing and can demonstrate them to the founder when requesting a budget for security measures.
Does it follow up on the training audit?
We recommend it. The audit will show what needs to be added. Follow-up training and model situations will then prepare staff and pupils so that they know what to do in a crisis situation.
