Frequently asked questions about crisis preparedness
Safety training is the practical preparation of personnel for crisis situations. Participants will practice responding to an active attacker, evacuating, de-escalating and communicating with IZS. We follow Minimum Standard MŠMT 2024 and Standard ČSN 73 4400. We have accreditation MV ČR AK/I-48/2025 for the protection of soft targets.
For an active shooter (active attacker, running amok) the procedure Run – Hide – Fight applies. 1) If the escape route is clear, run and take others with you. 2) If it is not available, declare a lockdown immediately: lock the classroom, darken it and be quiet. 3) Defend yourself only as a last resort. At the training, we will rehearse all three variants with an extra directly at your school, including coordination with IZS.
We have accreditation MV ČR AK/I-48/2025 for training in the protection of soft targets. The training is intended for schools, social services, medical facilities, authorities and companies to which the soft target protection methodology applies. School founders will use the accreditation when documenting compliance with the Minimum Standard MŠMT 2024 and when drawing subsidies from OP JAK and IROP.
It usually lasts 5 or 8 hours and takes place directly at your school. We start with a risk analysis and a crisis plan. This is followed by theory (Run – Hide – Fight procedure, lockdown, communication with IZS), a model situation with a helper and a debriefing. Teachers complete 8×45 minutes, pupils 5–16×45 minutes depending on age.
The price depends on the size of the institution, the number of participants and the length of the program. Approximate: one-day training for a group of up to 15 people from CZK 49,000, multi-day program with subsequent model situations and audit from CZK 120,000. We offer framework contracts and a package for 5-20 schools to cities and regions.
Yes. Schools can use OP JAK (Operational Program Jan Amos Komenský) and IROP. For employees in the commercial sector, FKSP and Benefit Plus come into consideration, for social services subsidy titles of the Ministry of Education and Culture. We always verify the financing conditions with the founder at the initial consultation.
The audit will assess the state of the perimeter, documentation, personnel and crisis procedures and propose measures. At the training, the staff will practice these measures in practice. We recommend both: the audit names the risks, the training teaches the team to respond to them. Audit references: Czech Radio, National Theatre, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
A school security audit includes an analysis of physical security (perimeter, entrances, reception, cameras, sensors), review of crisis documentation and assessment of evacuation and lockdown procedures. It includes interviews with front-line staff, a model situation and a structured output for management and founders according to Minimum Standard MŠMT 2024 and Standard ČSN 73 4400. A one-day inspection costs from CZK 15,000, a complete audit from CZK 49,000.
We recommend a full school security audit every 24-36 months. After major changes (reconstruction, change of director, incident in the area, new decree MŠMT or MV ČR), an annual inspection makes sense. For founders with 5 or more schools, we offer framework contracts with an annual schedule of audits and follow-up training.
