The first minutes are decisive even before the arrival of rescuers.

In case of a serious injury, you cannot rely only on the emergency services. After calling, he is usually on the spot in 8 to 12 minutes. In cardiac arrest, every minute without resuscitation reduces the chance of survival by roughly 10 percent. In the first minutes, the health of the injured person is decided by whoever is first on the scene. Without prior training, however, a person easily panics under stress or, on the contrary, freezes. That is why it pays to practically test crisis situations in advance and learn simple procedures that you can quickly use at a decisive moment. Such training is conducted by GBH Academy.

How does the course work?

The course is meant to change how you react in a crisis. The explanation is therefore mainly followed by practical training in model situations. You will learn to stop massive bleeding, open the airways, stabilize the injured in shock, resuscitate adults and children, and other procedures. The instructors constantly correct you during the exercises. You'll leave with a simple first aid procedure that's easy to remember.

The basic range is 5×45 minutes and we can adjust it. We adapt the content and the share of practice to your field and participants, whether they are educators, company employees, social service workers or other organizations.

Who will train you?

The course is led by GBH Academy instructors, among whom are former members of special forces with experience from foreign missions. The Academy methodology was prepared by Lumír Němec, Security Director of the GBH Group. He served for over ten years with URNA, then commanded the Special Operations Unit (SOG) of the Military Police and completed missions in Iraq, Kosovo and Afghanistan. Tactical first aid procedures in the course are based on experience from real interventions and current recommendations of the European Resuscitation Council.

The course is based on the principles of TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care). This standard originated in the US military for the care of the wounded in combat, and in recent years it has also been adopted by civilian paramedics. GBH Academy is an accredited educational institution of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic (AK/I-48/2025, protection of soft targets).

What do you get?

You'll take away life-saving skills one day. Both the organization and each participant will receive a certificate of completion. For companies and schools, the course can cover the health part of the OSH training. We will also discuss payment from the cultural and social needs fund (FKSP) or through Benefit Plus.
